April 29

This is me and the one before it is Lucas in tights! They had Stagefest at school, that's where the theater people can do their own plays, Lucas was in Richard III. He killed the Queen's husband and her Father and then seduced the queen with her husband's dead body laying there. It was crazy! He did a good job.

April 27, 2010

Yes I am behind again. But here are some pictures.

I went on Sunday to the falls with some friends and we climbed rocks and stuff, lots of fun.

This is my China box, it's got a bunch of stuff I'll need for going to Asia. I'm so excited. I have to read two books and write an essay about them for my training course. It's through Wheaton, so I'll have some graduate credits through Wheaton after my training. It also has a manual with all kinds of things I need to know about going to Asia, some communication guidelines for people who want to talk to me while I'm over there, a few other books just for me to read, a Mandarin language beginners book and a cd with different China presentations on it. I have lots of work to do before I go.

here's a quote for today:

"For there exists a delight that is not given to the wicked, but to those honoring Thee, O God, without desiring recompense, the joy of whom Thou art Thyself! And this is the blessed life, to rejoice towards Thee, about Thee, for Thy sake." St. Augustine, The Confessions.

Most of April

I know I'm really behind. I've been extremely busy the past few weeks. I found out I'm going to China! and school is almost over, I have one week! Well, I don't have the right amount but here are some pictures, I've taken recently. I'll add more later from my phone. And I'll start keeping up with this thing.

Here are the wolves again. We took the kids up there one day during their Spring Break and showed them the wolves. They're such beautiful animals.

A bunny we found while going on an easter egg hunt, how ironic! I shouldn't have picked him up I know. I didn't know then, I was trying to rescue him. I did put him back though, hopefully his mom took him back.

wow

This is Michelle and her funny clothes. She doesn't match at all, we keep telling What Not To Wear is going to come after her.

Kyla and I went on a walk one day and we climbed trees, this is the view from up in the tree. cool huh.

We also played in the fountain and took pictures. Here is one of them.

My roommate Michelle has also been sick these past few days. This is ginger ale I bought her in her cow cup. I had to force her to take medicine. She thinks she'll get all better on cough drops.

These are my graduation invitations, I made them myself! :) It took me 3 days to do them, it was a pain the butt, but I'm proud. They are all sent out today though, well except for one.

April 6, 2010: Queen of the Leafy Things

So Kyla and I had an awesome night, the best in a long time for me! I became Queen of the Leafy things and she became Maiden of the Twig, you can see our crowns. :) And we came up with a story idea for her, I'll put a link to her blog when she writes it. We also found a secret spot on campus. :) :)

Accidentally left a day out

I worked on this poster on thursday, it's the logo for child abuse awareness month, pretty cool huh.

Beginning of April

April 2, 2010: Easter Weekend

I didn't really take this picture on Friday but this looked so good I had to put it in somewhere. We didn't have class on Friday but I worked for comp. care and then I went home and slept for two hours on my porch swing, it was nice.

April 3, 2010: Cracks in the Rock

This is called Cracks in the Rock, it's on a trail down near the river near my house and it's a beautiful place, I learned how to climb rocks a little bit. I'd really like to just stay in the woods. What do you think?

April 4th, 2010: Wal-mart and an awesome dress

Happy Easter! Came back to school today and went on a wal-mart run for healthy food. Michelle drove us in her car with the top down, which was awesome! And she wore a really cool 70's dress that we think was homemade. Obviously this isn't the healthy food but we came to the shampoo first :P

April 5, 2010: Sidewalk Chalk

So we have a GAP (global awareness program) event on Thursday and we're going to show a movie called "Stolen Childhoods." We're trying to raise awareness about sex trafficking, child soldiers, and child slavery. We wrote some facts on the sidewalk today to let people know about the event and about what's going on.
