Lost Camera

So after the weekend I couldn't find my camera, today I found it. Thank God! So I have pictures from this past weekend but today I tried to take pictures that would sum up the days I missed. Oh, just to let you know due to the fact that it's late and I don't feel that good most of these won't be edited.


March 26, 2010: Babysitting


I babysat for the first time last weekend. They were my pastor's kids, Amanda, Harrison, and Mia and they it was a lot of fun. They're great kids. On Friday we put up a tent in the living room and had a little sleepover and watched Disney movies. :)




March 27, 2010: The River


On Saturday I took the kids down to the river and we met up with another family that goes to my church. It was a lot of fun. I actually did edit this picture, these are the three kids I babysat, well it's their backs anyway :P... if you look you can see Amanda back there. Anyway I thought this picture was cool.




March 28, 2010: Monopoly and Church



We spent most of Sunday at the church (and I did nursery for the first time!) but when we weren't there we played Monopoly. I was surprised I could get the kids to play by the rules and they really enjoyed it. I also made cookies for them, I usually do really good with desserts but I burned some of these. I don't think their oven liked me very much. :P




March 29, 2010: Sickness


I got the kids up on Monday morning and ready for school but man I was worn out and sick. I think I caught whatever they had last week. Anyway I tried to go into my internship but ended up spending most of the morning in bed.




March 30, 2010: Refuge Ridge



So funny story, I thought I was going to go up on the mountain again (to the wolf rescue) to work so I dressed in my old pants and a sweatshirt that I never wear and my lawn mowing shoes and turns out I went to a little banquet instead. haha, it wasn't that bad but it gave me a laugh. This is a present the lady who owns the rescue gave me, pretty neat huh.

March 31, 2010: Farmer Giles


I finished Farmer Giles of Ham today, very good story by J.R.R. Tolkien. I highly suggest it. Other than that my sickness is getting worse, I sound like a frog.

March 25, 2010: Birthday Party!

Here is a group picture of the party people. Left to right: Dustin (Michelle's boyfriend), Jessica, Sarah, Victoria, David, Michelle, Kyla, and me. Michelle's birthday is technically tomorrow but a bunch of us won't be here, including Michelle, so we did it today. It was a lot of fun. We had pizza and cake and the new How to Train Your Dragon movie decorations and balloons and we made a princess chair and a giant birthday card. She was completely surprised, it was awesome!
We actually weren't ready for the surprise when her boyfriend brought her in, so they opened the door and we all just stood there for a second before yelling out "SURPRISE!!!" hehe
I'm babysitting tomorrow so I may not blog for the weekend.

March 23 and 24

March 23, 2010


Okay, I was gonna try to be sneaky but I didn't actually take a picture on this day. I took both of these on the 24th but both yesterday and today had really good weather so this is appropriate. I went out to take a bunch of pictures and this is one of them, my friend Michelle's (not my roomate) feet. I just thought this was really cute.




March 24, 2010: Bird Poop



This is the bench next to the one Michelle was sitting on, I bring it to you complete with bird poop :D... lovely huh.
For my internship today, we got to play outside at the park, it was so much fun, the first time I've played kickball in years lol. I got a point though! ... well, hehe only because Denise argued me to home base. Tomorrow we have a little surprise for my roomate, shhh, it's her birthday friday and we're throwing her a par-tay. She has no idea! (She never reads this lol, so I don't have to worry about her finding out ;)

March 22, 2010: Shoes

I wore my new shoes today. I was congratulated that I had polo shoes but I just like them cause they are plaid lol. I wasn't very fond of any of the other patterns, but I like this one a lot.
We worked on the logo for Child Abuse Awareness month (next month) at my internship today. I'll probably show you on wednesday, it's really cool.
oh, and I woke up this morning and my bangs were sticking straight up! haha!

March 21, 2010: Haircut

I didn't take this picture today but this is my new haircut. I haven't had bangs since I was a kid. I came back to school today, I only have 6 or 7 weeks left at Cumberland, I can't believe I'm almost done!!

March 14, 2010: Sunday


I didn't do much today, except go to church. This isn't the church that I go to, but I think it's neat. I like the steps.






March 15, 2010: Corbin, Corbin, Corbin... Orientation



This is the new road on 92, it connects McCreary and Williamsburg and I'll be on it a lot this week. I have to work over spring break, I have orientation for my job at comp. care :) I am looking forward to it. Oh, as you can see I saw some odd things on the road today hehe.






March 16, 2010: Wonderland


Went to Oneida after my first day of orientation and saw Alice in Wonderland, it was great! This is an older movie theater, I used to go there a lot so being there again brought back some memories. ohh, nostalgia, sometimes I don't like you. :P

March 18, 2010: The Waters' House



...Lucas and his daddy... I went to the river near my house today and found my new favorite spot, I can't tell what it is, it's kind of hidden and I don't want anyone to steal it. :P ... It's beautiful though. I don't think I was made to be inside. I've always loved nature but for some reason, lately it's been more than just another adventure outside, it's been home for me and I feel drawn to it. If I leave for China I thin the thing I will miss the most (besides people) is being outside. I didn't have the camera with me, maybe next time.

March, 19 2010: Louisville



I drove to Louisville today to visit the family for the weekend. This is a picture of Springfield, a little town I pass on the way. I'd much rather go on the back roads then go through I-75, you get to see all kinds of stuff, such as little towns like this one. :)
I went down to a river again before I left for Louisville, this time I went off the trail and found this amazing beautiful little place, it was unreal, like something out of a story. I didn't have my camera again, I don't believe it could be captured completely anyway, you just have to be there. I promise I'll remember next time though!






March 20, 2010: The Tri-Bike



This is what I saw today driving through Louisville, pretty cool huh. Today was fun, lots of shopping: new haircut, new shoes, new top, new capris, alice in wonderland for the second time, and I got my nails done for the maybe 4th time in my life. I like coming to Louisville, mom buys me stuff :)

March 5, 2010: Friday!



Thank God it's Friday! This is my calendar picture for this month. It is Mount Shuksan in the North Cascades national Park in Washington. It's beautiful.
I saw the play again, for the 3rd and last time. It was really good... again and I really enjoyed it... again.



March 6, 2010: Rover


My new roommate Michelle has some pretty cool/funny outfits. She's wearing a jumpsuit and I'm wearing some shiny disco thing. Kyla said she looks like a flight attendant and I agree. :P

So today was Joey Waters' birthday. Sadly, though today is also the day that Rover died. He was Lucas' dog and he had had him since he was a puppy which has been YEARS. He was a really good dog. I'll really miss him.




March 7, 2010: Home


The is the Mine 18 road, if you face the opposite direction of this, you would be going towards my house. So as you can see I got to go home today. It was a much needed trip, I miss the people at my church. I also just miss being home. This trip was bittersweet though because of Rover. He was a really good dog.




March 8, 2010: King of the Mountain


At my internship today, we played with goats. It was a lot of fun even though they freaked me out a little. This game is called King of the Mountain (I think). The goat owns that wooden thing and my supervisor tries to get it from her and she freaks out! It's so much fun to watch, she paws at the ground and acts like she's about to butt her head and everything. It was finally warm today, I was so happy! It was a good day.

March 4

This was the highlight of my day. ELIC sent me a John Piper book, it's a good book I recommend it. I also bought a vegan cookie, they're surprisingly good, I recommend the double chocolate ones. Other than that I didn't have a great day, I have too much free time on tuesday/thursday.
